Good Luck!

Here is a place for the mommies to talk and babies to listen in. We say mommies, but sitters, aunts, nannies and grannies also.

Good Luck!

Post by MommieSara »

Why are people compelled to tell someone else "Good Luck" ?

I'm not sure I really believe in luck per say, perhaps there are moments when everything seems to have been in perfect sync, right place, right time. But I don't count on it that's for sure.

So lately I have noticed when people find out I am a phone a mommy, they say to me well "Good Luck". And so I am left wondering, why it is they are wishing me "Good Luck".

Do I look as though I need Luck?
Do they truly mean it when they say it?
Do they say it out of sarcasm?
Do they say it just to say it like
when people say "Break a Leg" ?
Its not like "Luck" is actually transferable,
No genie to make the wish come true.

Just Saying, ya know.

So I just thought I would throw this out there,
maybe find out your own experiences with "Luck"
Im looking forward to hearing them,
If you have none, No Biggie, and well "Good Luck" (hehe)
